Grand Mosque
The first phase of the construction is the development of the Islamic Institute, which will consist of:
- Prayer facility for over 2600 worshippers in four prayer halls
- Viewing Mezzanine looking over the sports facilities
- Exhibition room, library room
- Interfaith room under the name of ‘House of Abraham’
- Separate ablution area on each floor for males and females and accessible WC facilities
- Roof top garden
- Ghosha e Durood- A special room dedicated on sending salutation upon the Prophet Muhammad PBUH
- Multiple kitchen and storage areas
- Classrooms and IT room for Islamic teaching purposes
Our objective is to develop a modern and state of the art mosque incorporating some of the architectural designs from Morocco in combination with a British theme so that it becomes a landmark in the West and embodies the union of cultures and religions. The complex will cater for Muslims and non-Muslims equally.
The Islamic institute will facilitate:
- Five daily prayers
- Wedding and funeral services
- Islamic study course for all ages
- Higher level of Islamic education with an Official qualification from Minhaj College of Sharia (MCS) for males and females
- A support & counselling service
- Healthcare services
- Advice centre for the community
