Cultural Unity Landmark

Grand Mosque

The first phase of the construction is the development of the Islamic Institute, which will consist of:

  • Prayer facility for over 2600 worshippers in four prayer halls
  • Viewing Mezzanine looking over the sports facilities
  • Exhibition room, library room
  • Interfaith room under the name of ‘House of Abraham’
  • Separate ablution area on each floor for males and females and accessible WC facilities
  • Roof top garden
  • Ghosha e Durood- A special room dedicated on sending salutation upon the Prophet Muhammad PBUH
  • Multiple kitchen and storage areas
  • Classrooms and IT room for Islamic teaching purposes

Our objective is to develop a modern and state of the art mosque incorporating some of the architectural designs from Morocco in combination with a British theme so that it becomes a landmark in the West and embodies the union of cultures and religions. The complex will cater for Muslims and non-Muslims equally.

The Islamic institute will facilitate:

  • Five daily prayers
  • Wedding and funeral services
  • Islamic study course for all ages
  • Higher level of Islamic education with an Official qualification from Minhaj College of Sharia (MCS) for males and females
  • A support & counselling service
  • Healthcare services
  • Advice centre for the community
